Croix du Planet - Hiking Trail

A hike along a relatively steep trail, with a magnificent panoramic view at the summit, dominated by the Croix du Planet.

Discover the Croix du Planet hiking trail, starting from the restaurant Le Refuge. This challenging hike is suitable for experienced hikers (red level—difficult). Once you reach the summit, an exceptional panoramic view of the valley and Mont Blanc awaits you.

This hike also welcomes your four-legged friends (on a leash) and is the perfect opportunity to share special moments together in the great outdoors.

Once at the summit, you can continue the hike along the ridge toward the Petit Pâtre hut, where picnic tables will allow you to take a well-deserved break.

Note: If you’re hiking to the summit of Le Planet from Le Chanté, two trails are available at the top: the trail on the right requires climbing over rocks, while the trail on the left is a bit steeper and leads to the base of the cross.

1/ Park in the parking lot at Le Refuge restaurant.
2/ Hike up toward Le Chanté, then follow the trail to Tête du Planet.
3/ Hike back down the same trail, heading toward Le Chanté and then Le Refuge.
