The association organizes the "Baroque Festival in the Mont Blanc Region," which takes place during the summer.
Cordon founded the Baroque Festival in 1997, centered on exploring the architectural sites of the Mont Blanc region and featuring prestigious musical and cultural events, while showcasing the “Notre Dame de l’Assomption” church with its sumptuous Baroque decor.
The festival was conceived by Lucienne Petit-Jean and brought to life in 1998 thanks to the Cordon Tourist Office and its president, Bernard Rémy.
It was a bold undertaking, but the enthusiasm and dedication of the entire team ensured the event’s long-term success.
Today, established as an association, the Mont Blanc Region Baroque Festival has nearly one hundred active members.
The Baroque Festival now offers a series of concerts centered on Baroque music throughout the Pays du Mont-Blanc region.
