Association "Les chemins de Cordon
Description
The association was created at the end of 2022 under the name "Les chemins de Cordon". Its main aim is to help maintain our paths and improve our walking and hiking itineraries.
In summer and winter alike, hiking is a very popular activity in Cordon, whether it's sporting, convivial or simply contemplative. On foot, skis, snowshoes or two wheels.
The small actions proposed to its members are within everyone's reach, as they make their way along the path: clearing out water drains, small pruning, clearing branches, identifying more substantial interventions...
Larger jobs are carried out as a team, with the help of local authorities where necessary.
The mountains remain a rare space of freedom, where walkers respect nature and greet each other as they pass. Sometimes a conversation is struck up, and lasting bonds are forged. It's an opportunity that maintaining this intangible heritage helps to perpetuate.
In August 2023, the first collective action was the reconstruction of the Croisse-Baulet bench or summit. Elsewhere and at a later date, it could be the restoration of a forgotten route, or even the construction of a footbridge. All ideas are welcome.
