The Boucle du Pont des Nants, mountain bike route no. 28, is a varied route combining forest trails and tarmac roads. Ideal for discovering the village of Cordon and its hills!
This loop is available for mountain bikes, ATVs and bikes with bicycles.
Mountain bike itinerary no. 28, the Boucle du Pont des Nants, is ideal for discovering the village of Cordon: starting from the village center, you'll head up one of the hillsides, before descending to the bottom of the village and exploring the Jorasse forest. In the Jorasse forest, you'll enjoy nature, its riches and picturesque spaces, including our famous Pont des Nants.
Accessible to mountain bikers, it combines moderate technical skills with the pleasure of riding in the heart of the mountains.
For the more athletic, the route can be extended from Les Plaines to the Avenaz mountain pasture.
Please note that the length of the loop will vary according to the type of bike you have:
1/ Depart from the Cordon tourist office, for a 1.5-hour ride if you have a mountain bike.
2/ Head towards Chemin des écoles, then up Route des Miaz to the hamlet of Chêne.
3/ Take the Chemin du Chêne down to the hamlet of Pornay.
4/ From the hamlet of Pornay, take the route de la Jorasse towards the forest road to Les Plaines.
5/ At Les Plaines, take the Chemin de l'Avenaz down towards Pont des Nants, then Pont de Barlioz.
6/ At the Pont de Barlioz, head towards the village center to return to the tourist office.
For the more athletic, the route from Les Plaines can be extended to the Avenaz mountain pasture.
