Walk from Cordon to Sallanches along the trails.
To avoid walking along the road, Cordon Tourisme offers a route connecting Cordon to Sallanches via trails.
This route passes through Nant-Cruy, a hamlet of Sallanches located near Cordon. The first part of the route follows the road, then you’ll take a small wooded trail down toward downtown Sallanches.
Be sure to plan your return trip in advance: there is a bus line between Cordon and Sallanches, the Y86.

1/ Start from downtown Cordon, heading toward City Hall.
2/ Before reaching City Hall, turn right before the bridge and take the path that goes up behind City Hall, toward Le Perron.
3/ In the hamlet of Le Perron, walk through the hamlet and join the path that begins just past the recycling bins.
4/ Follow the paved road to the hamlet of Nant-Cruy.
5/ In Nant-Cruy, take the paved road that descends toward Sallanches. 6/ In the hamlet of La Bécoire, take the trail that leads into the forest on your left. A stone cross marks the trailhead.
7/ Continue down this path, and you’ll arrive in downtown Sallanches.
