Description

Traditional village festival and "Notre dame de l'Assomption" patron saint's day, August 15. The parade of the "famous grenadiers", some of whom will be dressed in period costumes from the Napoleonic Guard. The Cordon folk group Lou Beneton will be dancing from 11am.
The festivities continue: - High mass at 10am - Maneuvers, parade of the Grenadiers with the Combloux brass band around 11 a.m. - Heritage Association exhibition on the theme of Cordon's 1st cadastral map of 1730: "la Mappe Sarde" all day long. - Games for young and old, shooting competition (laser rifle) all day long. - Pastry and Rissoles stand (famous local pastry) all day long. - Snack bar (assiettes garnies, or sausages with fries) at 12 p.m. - Grenadiers parade at 2:45pm - Folk dancing with Cordon's "Lou Benneton" group at 4:30 p.m. - Fondues in the evening or assiettes garnies from 7pm (buy your tickets on site from 6pm - €18 - no table reservation) followed by a dance night.
