Tourism began in the early 20th century, mainly through shoemakers who had moved to Paris and would return to their families from time to time. They brought their way of life to this village, which is somewhat isolated and whose access road wasn’t paved until after World War II. The first hotel dates back to 1929, and the ski resort to 1949….
Through the history of the very first mountain school in Savoie, the story of immigration is brought to light.
During a stroll through the village center, the entire history of the village unfolds before your eyes. 2 hours. Tours adapted for children.
