Description

Housed in an old building in the heart of Chamonix since March 1, 2011, the Maison de la Mémoire et du Patrimoine preserves the region's photographic archives and offers temporary exhibitions.
The Maison de la Mémoire et du Patrimoine preserves the region's photographic archives. It also contributes to research with a documentary resource center including a library and a historical photo library. There are a number of ways in which you can add to the collection: by donation or deposit. The documents collected in this way are then classified, inventoried, digitized and finally put to good use in the historical photo library, exhibitions and cultural events. Temporary exhibitions : CHAMONIX 1924: THE INVENTION OF THE WINTER OLYMPICS Until June 30, 2025 As part of the centenary of the 1st Winter Olympics, this exhibition offers an in-depth look at the organization and staging of this event.
