The Property:

Chalet Vardache offers seven bedrooms and spacious living areas spread over three floors.

The entire ground floor is dedicated to the comfortable living area, where the seating area is arranged around the fireplace and television. Your entire group can gather around the spacious dining table, which faces the floor-to-ceiling windows, to enjoy the unparalleled panoramic view of the Mont Blanc range.

The kitchen is designed for large groups and features a large stove, an oven, a microwave, and two dishwashers. On the other side of the living room, you’ll find a counter with stools, an electric wine cooler, and even a beer tap.

French doors lead from the living room to the panoramic terrace, which is equipped with two dining tables and a barbecue.

The upper floor offers five bedrooms in total. Of the four double bedrooms, three have en-suite shower rooms, and two open directly onto the balcony. The fifth is a cozy single bedroom, which shares a bathroom and separate toilet with one of the double bedrooms. The upper floor also features an additional separate toilet.

On the garden level, a double bedroom and a dormitory with bunk beds share a shower room.

The Region:

The village of Cordon is nicknamed “the balcony of Mont Blanc” for its breathtaking views of the stone giant and the neighboring peaks. It boasts an authentic charm and a relaxed atmosphere, as well as easy access to numerous options for skiing, hiking, or mountain biking. You’ll find several shops, bars, and restaurants in Cordon, as well as in Sallanches and Megève, which are a 9- and 25-minute drive away, respectively.

The village has all the necessary amenities to fully enjoy winter sports. Its family-friendly slopes are just a five-minute drive away, and the shuttle stops right below the chalet.

If you’re looking for a wider selection of slopes, it’s just a 10-minute drive to the Évasion Mont-Blanc ski area, which includes Combloux, Megève, and Saint-Gervais, and 30 minutes to the Espace Diamant, which connects Praz-sur-Arly, Bellecombe, Crest-Voland, Flumet, and Les Saisies.

The nighttime crossing of the Vallée Blanche—a 23-kilometer journey between the Aiguille du Midi and the Mer de Glace—promises an unforgettable skiing experience in the company of an experienced guide.

Other winter sports are also available in the region, such as snowshoeing and dog sledding.

In spring and summer, the mountains attract mountain bikers and hikers who come to discover the beauty of the Alpine landscape. Approximately 80 km of trails stretch near Cordon, with even more options around Sallanches, Combloux, Megève, and Chamonix.

You’ll find several golf courses near Chalet Vardache, including the famous Chamonix course and the Mont-d’Arbois course in Megève.

Adrenaline junkies can enjoy canyoning, rafting, or whitewater swimming. The lakes at Combloux, Flumet, and Sallanches offer opportunities for swimming, fishing, or even windsurfing.
